SOCORRO COUNTY, N.M. — Science, technology, engineering, math — those are the fields that make up the STEM careers. High above most of Socorro County, perched on a summit at 10,600 feet up in the Cibola National Forest, sits the Magdelina Ridge Observatory and the 2.4-meter telescope facility.
