Travel Advisory for New Mexico
DEMING – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be monitoring roadway conditions with law enforcement as high wind advisories have been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) on Feb. 21, 2023, briefing from NWS attached with Press Release. NWS is forecasting very strong winds with gusts of 50-80 mph, and mountain snow (elevations about 7000 ft) of 6” to 12”, beginning Tuesday night through Thursday morning. Dangerous crosswinds and localized blowing dust may result in dangerous travel conditions on area highways.
