Democrats, Republicans still at odds over who is to blame

KOAT spoke with state Republican Party chair Steve Pearce and state Democratic Party chair Marg Elliston about the storming of the U.S. Capitol and who they believe is to blame. “I think President Trump was the cause of the riot. I think he egged everybody on and he didn’t even have the courage to join them in their march to the capitol,” Elliston said. But Pearce said it’s not the president, it’s the protesters.
