Senate Bill 34 creates crime of making a shooting threat

SANTA FE – Today, Senate Bill 34 passed the Senate on a bipartisan 34-5 vote. The bill would allow law enforcement to charge and investigate individuals who issue a threat of a shooting. The bill sponsor, Senate Republican Whip, Senator Craig Brandt (District 40-Sandoval), introduced this legislation in an effort to curb threats and stop potential future tragedies.
