Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman’s Statement On Judge’s Temporary Restraining Order Allowing Restaurants To Reopen For 10 Days At 50% Capacity

A bittersweet, temporary victory in the ongoing fight for economic equality in the state

Albuquerque, July 20–The following is Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce’s statement regarding a New Mexico judge’s temporary restraining order forcing Gov. Lujan Grisham to temporarily stop her amended Public Health Order banning in-house dining at restaurants. The decision is the result of a lawsuit filed by the New Mexico Restaurant Association. The short-term ban will remain in place until a hearing on July 30.
